Still from a four-hour video work in which the artist gradually burns hemp paper with incense. The entire process is documented in a single, uninterrupted shot. The title I refers to the first-person pronoun. The holes and burn marks formed on the paper emerge as traces of the body, accumulated time, and the continually shifting outline of the self.

4時間にわたるビデオ作品からのスチル。作家が線香を用いて麻紙を少しずつ焼いていく行為を、カットを加えず、ひとつの連続した映像として記録した作品です。タイトルの「I」は、英語の一人称「私」を意味します。紙に生じる穴や焼け跡は、身体の痕跡、時間の蓄積、そして変化し続ける自己の輪郭として現れます。
